"The Chosen" star Jonathan Roumie told thousands gathered at the 2023 March for Life rally in Washington, D.C., that "we are under an assault on our sense of virtue" as he blasted the media and Hollywood.

During the 48-year-old actor's speech at the annual event on Friday, Roumie told the crowd that "God is real" as he and the group celebrated that "life has triumphed" at the first rally since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

He praised the pro-life groups who have advocated for "the noblest and worthiest cause possible," then called out the entertainment industry.

"As an artist in the entertainment industry," Roumie said, in the last "several years, there's been a sharp and disturbing increase in the darkness of the imagery being used in film, television, and music."

"The landscape has become increasingly sinister," he added. "And, in some cases, even demonic in tone, more so than in previous years, sometimes subliminal and oftentimes overt. ... Many feature spiritually and psychologically disturbing content."

"I'm referring to the media, which is even more ominous, and I don't need to name names," the star continued. "You know it when you see it. ... Media has become a portal to behavior and attitudes kids want to emulate that reject God, reject the light, and reject ultimately all those aspects of community which give life."

Roumie slammed social media and social media influencers, calling on Christians to "embrace the counter culture of Christ's love" against the enemy that offers empty lies.

"They say we live in a post-Christian society. I reject that," the actor told the crowd to cheers. "You can reject that. Change the culture by impacting the culture. Embrace that which is bigger than you."

He closed out his more than 16-minute long speech by stating that "we are under an assault on our sense of virtue."

"We're enduring an affront to the innate holiness we are all imbued with and called to," Roumie shared. "And an attack on the family structure and the sacredness of the gift of life."

During a recent "Angel Studios' 'The Chosen" livestream, the creator and director of the fan-supported series, Dallas Jenkins, announced that the finale of Season 3 will debut in theaters on February 2 and 3.

The first two episodes of Season 3 premiered on the big screen with fans turning out, making it No. 3 at the box office during opening weekend. It was later released for free on the show's app and streamed with a message about paying it forward, as previously reported.

With Roe v Wade (originated in 1973) overturned by the US Supreme Court, thereby allowing decisions on abortion legislation completely returned to the states: Where do you find your position on such a "Life and Death" issue for the American People?
Yes, I approve of the US Supreme Court's decision to reinstate this "medical" issue back to the states' legislative responsibility to regulate.
No, I believe that every woman should have complete access to abortion on demand.
This issue is far beyond my intellectual capacity to understand.
