According to results of a new poll,  a solid majority of 56% of Americans would rather see a government partial shutdown if Congress cannot cut spending in return for a debt ceiling extention.  Only 34% would support passing a "clean" debt ceiling bill with no spending cuts in order to avoid the shutdown.

Faced with staggering inflation, particularly on food and energy, most Americans seem to be realizing that over spending is to blame.  Republicans need to hold the line.

Those cuts need to be on monies leaving this country. Anything that weakens our nations security or harms citizens needs to be left alone. America needs to stop being the world's piggy bank open to all.
