Post Truth and other hidden meanings.

With the continued drumbeat and indoctrination of all of the Socialist Acronyms, I took a surface look at some of the dribble our children are having to wade through.

A while back there was a fascinating talk delivered by Kevin Worthen, President of Brigham Young University on Post Truth.  He introduced his talk with this dictionary version of “Post Truth:”

Each year, Oxford Dictionaries selects a word of the year—“a word, or expression, that is judged to reflect the mood of that particular year and to have lasting potential as a word of cultural significance.”  Past selections include “unfriend” in 2009 and “selfie” in 2013. In 2015 the word of the year was not a word but a pictograph: the “face with tears of joy” emoji.

Recently, Oxford Dictionaries announced that the word of the year for 2016 is post-truth, a word they define as “an adjective . . . denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion that appeals to emotion and personal belief. I wouldn’t be surprised if post-truth becomes one of the defining words of our time.” Reflecting this view, several commentators have recently asserted that we live in a post-truth world, or a world in which truth “has become unimportant or irrelevant.” ( Just look at CNN.)

He went on to explain that it is hard to know with certainty whether truth is really less important than it has been in the past.  But it is clear that because we live in a digital age, in which there is so much information and there are so many different contending views of what is accurate, some people find that new information confounds and confuses rather than clarifies and enlightens. Modernizing the plight of the thirsty Ancient Mariner, who proclaimed, “Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink,” many today lament, “Data, data, everywhere, and not a thought to think.”

Kevin J. Worthen President of BYU.

So, where does our younger generation go to find truth and answers to other hidden meanings?

While I was dinking around dictionary explanations, I investigated some other things that seem to be the basis for changing truths; “white privilege” being among them.

“White Privilege” has been somewhat fluid.  Wikipedia defines it as generally agreed to refer to the implicit or systemic advantage that white people have relative to people who are the objects of racism. It is the absence of suspicion and other negative reactions that people who are objects of racism experience.”

But how about “reverse discrimination”?  Wiki says “is discrimination against members of a dominant or majority group, in favor of members of a minority or historically disadvantaged group. Groups may be defined in terms of status, race religion, sex, etc.

“Living Document.”  For the progressive group that would like to change things in their favor, we hear the cry, “The US Constitution is a Living Document”.  Meaning we will make it flexible to fit the way we want things.

Next we see the attack on posting the Ten Commandment.  They were not ten suggestions, but ten absolutes given by God. But this infringes on those that do not believe that there is a God, so we bow to this Minority.  So much for Majority Privilege.

Now this really opens a can of worms.  “There is no absolute” cry the Left and the Progressives and Socialists except the new rules they wish for us to live by.

“The Bible is open to interpretation.  Just look at all the translations that it has been through.  And besides, which church is right?” is but another post truth expression.

Now we come to “Indoctrination.”   LBGT must be taught and understood in our schools, so that all people will be tolerant and understand that these people are born this way.

Wiki says “LGBT (or GLBT) ( and now more alphabets) are initialism that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. In use since the 1990s, the term is an adaptation of the initialism LGB, which was used to replace the term gay in reference to the LGBT community, beginning in the mid-to-late 1980s. Activists believed that the term gay community did not accurately represent all those to whom it referred.

The truth is these are homosexuals and transvestites and those that have a problem with sexual gender.  The term Queer and Gay sounded a bit derogatory, so we came up with social engineering to create a more acceptable term.  The problem is that these activists who would pervert our language (no pun intended) do not accept that whether a person is LGBT is a private, personal decision and not something the government has any business becoming involved in.  The Real Truth is that the line is crossed when these gay activists try to push their beliefs on others, especially the youth.  What a child is taught about sexuality is the role of the parent, not the school or the entertainment industry.

Children should be taught (by their parents and church) that homosexuality is a sin.  It is so proscribed in both the Old and New Testaments.  That is the real truth and no amount of post truth can change that.

Whoa!  How about “Social engineering”?  Wiki says it is a means of influencing particular attitudes and social behaviors on a large scale.  It can also mean obtaining confidential information by manipulating and/or deceiving people.

Now we get to some really good stuff, “Cultural Engineering”.  Writer Skinner’s fundamental thesis is that individual traits are shaped from above, by social forces that create the environment, and Skinner’s goal “is to create a frictionless society where individuals are properly socialized to function with others as a unit”, and to thus “make the community into a perfectly efficient anthill.”

Whew!  Now our children and our new crop of parents are really confused.  Which of this stuff is the Real Truth?

“We must have a level playing field”.  We have taken God out of school, established a relativistic legal system based on a ‘living document’ without absolutes, done away with the Ten Commandments, removed all religious symbols from public property, being taught that successful Whites should be ashamed of their success, being Gay LGBT (and the rest of the alphabet) is not an emotional disorder but they are born that way and Socialism is the new Savior.

The fundamental problem with this Post Truth is the damage it does to the family.  The traditional, historical family is a mother, father and children.  It is the bedrock upon which our society, and most societies of the world throughout history, has been based.  The Real Truth is that there is no acceptable alternative.

This is just the tip of the iceberg on Post Truth and other hidden meanings.  I have diagnosed some of the disease.  Someone please send me the cure.

Vulnerable children do not need to be led astray. Sexualizing children at a young age should be banned in school, and that includes heterosexual, too. Most children who are confused about gender grow out of it, and school officials trying to make it permanent in their lives are doing them lots of harm.

So bubba thinks there are no gay men married to women. Or gay women married to men. Isn't that special? Bubba do you think its possible very few gay people would share anything about that sort of thing with you? Can you think of why that might be?

I'm not saying gays make up a majority of the kids at school or of the population in general but I have to ask, why would hurt those people? Would you hurt a someone because you're that uncomfortable with human sexuality?

In your mind, Bobby. I know that is what the far left's narrative says, but it is not reality. As to my high school class, for example, we had a reunion last year, and not a single class member brought someone of the same sex to the party. Further there was a pretty thorough list of class members, including those who could not attend, that listed spouses or significant others, and not a single one of those was of the same sex, either.

The ones I really feel sorry for in today's schools are the Tom Boys. Those girls were not lesbians of "transgenders"; they just liked in elementary school doing the things boys liked to do. When they reached puberty, those in my neighborhood all became quite feminine. Several of those former Tom Boys were at my class reunion, all married with children. Today, they would probably face grooming from school personal toward either being lesbians or transgenders and would have thir lives ruined if they fell into that trap.

Oh Bubba, the gay kids were in your class too. Terrified someone would find out. But they were there Bubba.

One interesting fact, the ones who hate the gays most, often turn out to be gay themselves. Weird huh?
Anyway, The current far right tactic of calling anyone who supports equality a groomer really is disturbing.

The schools sure as heck were NOT full of homosexuals when I was in school. If there are more now it is because of grooming to that lifestyle. Organizations like SAVVAS that promote this sruff are to blame, as well as too many radical teachers who tell kids stupid anti-science things like they can choose whether to be a boy or a girl. Any teacher telling a kid that stpid mess should be summarily fired.

What you fail to realize is that the school is full of gay kids. What, you think they magically appear out of nowhere? Even Dick Cheney has a gay kid.

People of all beliefs should love one another but that does not give a person the right to push their beliefs on others in our schools or anywhere else.

Our children should worry about being children not adult madness. Live and and let live for it is God who is in control in; our faith in our higher self, in our personal relationship with the higher power, I believe.
