All Democrats plus 47 RINOs give Democrats their Medicaid expansion | Eastern NC Now

GOP traitors help Democrats pass key item of their agenda; 23 heroes say NO

ENCNow

UPDATE: The House passed the Obamacare Medicaid expansion, a top politcy objective of both the national Democrats and of leftwing Democrat governor Roy Cooper.  Every Democrat (of course) voted for it.  Among Republicans, 47 RINOs voted with the Democrats and 23 conservative Republicans voted for what the GOP base wants.  Liberal Republican House Speaker Timmy Moore was among the RINOs backing the Democrat position and played a major role in encouraging RINOs to sell out the Republican base..

FIRST, here are the conservative heroes from eastern North Carolina: Kidwell (R-Beaufort), Cleveland (R-Onslow), Tyson (R-Craven), and Cairns (R-Carteret).  They deserve our thanks.

NOW, here are the backstabbing traitors from eastern North Carolina: Reeder (RINO-Pitt), Humphrey (RINO-Lenoir), Bell (RINO-Wayne), Sheppard (RINO-Onslow), and Godwin (RINO-Chowan).  They deserve to be destroyed in the 2024 primaries.  Conservatives should TAKE NO PRISONERS among this group of despicable scoundrels.

ALSO, we need to remember that both legislators in the primary for Commissioner of Labor SOLD US OUT.  Neither of them is worthy of being our nominee.  There is at least one non-legislator running for this job, and he is the one conservatives should rally around.  Hardister and Moss, the two legialators who voted Democrat on this bill are completely unacceptable as nominees.  Hardister has always been a liberal but Moss has claimed to be a conservative.  This vote shows that is a very hollow claim by Moss, indeed.  He is as phony as a three dollar bill.

(ORIGINAL POST)

The globalists in the Republican Party led by Phil Berger, Jim Perry, and Tim Moore are pushing hard for the leftwing Obamacare Medicaid expansion in the General Assembly, and it may come to a vote this week.  It is hard to tell which they are working harder for, the Democrats who badly want this, or the special interests for whom it is a wet dream.  Either way, these GOP globalists are selling their voters down the river.  Polls repeatedly show Republican voters oppose this, and GOP party leaders are also opposed as shown by the unanimous resolution against it by the 3rd District Republican Executive Committee.  Every globalist Republican traiitor who votes for this excrement sandwich needs a primary.

Two other groups that will suffer from the Obamacare Medicaid expansion are small business and county government. I attended a meeting of an NCGOP convention committee on which I serve in Raleigh yesterday, and everyone was aghast at this Obamacare Medicaid expansion. A couple of committee members who are small businesspeople said they had already heard that their group health premiums would be going up 30% to 40% due to their groups being smaller after some of their employees are involuntarily transfered to Medicaid. Another who is a county commission chairman said that their county budget will be strapped to pay for the new eligibility workers at Social Services for the Medicaid expansion, as well as the county share of the actual medical payments. The Obamacare Medicaid expansion is a very serious blunder that the Republican base is furious over.

Hardly "access to health care". What Obamacare Medicaid expansion does is push 120,000 North Carolinians who now have private health insurance, mostly as a benefit of their job onto the Medicaid dole instead. It makes those 120,000 North Carolinians no longer eligible for private health insurance and forces them onto a welfare type program. Many doctors who take private insurance do not take Medicaid, so that will deprive some of them of their doctors. This does these 120,000 North Carolinians no favors.

Oh, and North Carolina has just been informed that we will have to pay the feds another billion dollars a year for the state's part of Medicaid.

This is about making people dependant on government, not about providing better health care, and it stinks. Those Republican legislators who betrayed North Caorlina on this will never get my vote.

Nice!!! Access to health care is a basic human right in the richest country in the world. You might not like it but it will be tougher and tougher to get elected by telling people to stuff it when they are sick. Cheers.

Another big win for the Democrats on policy handed to them by our rotten and treacherous Republican legislative "leadership". Tim Moore and PHil Berger are Nancy Pelsoi without the skirt. Are these guys just stupid or are they on the take? It is clear that there is a whole lot of stupid or backstabbing or both in the GOP caucus. It makes one ashamed to be a Republican.
