Council of Europe's War on History - teaching distorted history | Eastern NC Now

more distortion of history for ideological purposes

ENCNow

George Orwell wrote that "the most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history."  The Orwellian war on history is well underway on both sides of the Atlantic.

A new report from the conservative think tank Mathias Corvinus Collegium spotlights how the Council of Europe is promoting a distortion of European history to push globalism and destroy national identity.  This effort is pushing a globalist ideology not a true understanding of history.

That same battle is being fought right here in Beaufort County where our liberal school superintendant is pushing a leftist airbrushing of our history in a distorted new Social Studies curriculum.  He did not invent that, of course.  It comes down from the radicalized NC Board of Education, now under the sway of far left appointees of ultra-liberal Governor Roy Cooper.  But whoever pushes this destructive nonsense, it is bad for students and bad for America.
