Conservative Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb has filed papers with the Federal Election Commission to run for the Arizona US Senate seat now held by Independent Krysten Sinema. Lamb is a vocal Trump supporter who is very outspoken about stopping illegal immigration.
Arizona is regarded as a pickup opportunity for the GOP. with a three way race shaping up. Independent US Senator Krysten Sinema, who caucuses with the Democrats, is gearing up for reelection, and a prominent liberal congressman, Ruben Gallego, has announced for the official Democrat nomination.
