‘Run Someone Who Enrages The Left By Winning’: Ann Coulter Calls For Nominee Other Than Trump | Eastern North Carolina Now

Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter, who was a die-hard supporter of Donald Trump before turning on him midway through his presidency for not fulfilling his pledge to build a wall on the Mexican border, called for Trump's backers to follow her lead in the wake of his federal indictment.

In a stinging column, Coulter, the author of 2016's "In Trump We Trust," started by alleging that the documents Trump took to Mar-a-Lago "included information about our nuclear weapons programs, the defense capabilities of the U.S. and other countries, potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack, and plans for possible retaliation."

"Plans to attack Iran drawn up by the Pentagon are NOT - as alleged in Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal five days after the indictment was released - 'newspapers, press clippings, letters, notes, cards, [and] photographs [gathered by President Trump],'" Coulter wrote.

"Trump's excuses - I declassified all of them! I complied with the Presidential Papers Act! It's a political hit job! - are not only false, but irrelevant to the obstruction of justice counts against him," she added.

Coulter, the author of more than a dozen books and a lawyer who once worked for the Senate Judiciary Committee, said even if Trump ultimately had a right to keep the disputed documents, he was still required to comply with a subpoena ordering him to turn them over.

"This is a basic requirement of Anglo-Saxon law. Otherwise, targets of investigations would fire up the shredding machines, evidence would disappear, and the legal system would grind to a halt," she wrote. "Trump's argument that he had a right to hide these documents from the government is the equivalent of Democrats' 'EVERYBODY DOES IT!' defense of Bill Clinton's perjury in the Paula Jones case," she argued. "Like Trump, Clinton thought the underlying lawsuit against him was a political hit job, nobody's business, his 'private life.' So he perjured himself dozens of times during his sworn deposition."

If Republicans elect Trump as the party's 2024 White House nominee, he will lose in the general election, Coulter predicted. If the GOP rallies behind another candidate, it could easily win, she wrote.

"Prosecuting Trump helps Biden get reelected," she predicted, as well as winning Trump the nomination, "rather than a sane person who could point out that Joe is visibly decomposing before our eyes, Kamala is an imbecile, and their combined track record is appalling."

Trump's supporters can complain all they want about a double standard being applied to Trump, while Biden seemingly gets a pass for hoarding classified documents himself, she said, but it won't matter.

"Any Republican who thought he could get away with doing something illegal because Democrats did it first is too stupid to be our champion, much less the Republican nominee for president," Coulter wrote. "You want to do something about the double standard, right-wingers? Run someone who enrages the left by winning, not by constantly creating legal messes benefiting no one but himself."

In the most recent Midterms Election, the "Republican Red Wave" turned out to be a "Republican Red Ripple," which, as in all elections, confounded the political prognosticators of what to expect down the governing /political road: What, and who, do you think is best for this meandering Representative Republic in the near future?
Because they know how to best allocate the public's money back to the right part of the public, the Democrats will NOW always prevail and get my vote.
With patriotic pragmatism the cornerstone of the best of the Republican Party, they will ultimately save this Constitutional Republic from self-destruction.
Since the Executive Branch is so important to turn this Representative Republic around, I am still on Team Trump in 2024.
Since the nation may need a different path to Conservative patriotism in the Executive, I am joining Team DeSantis.
Because I am entitled to take the government dole, the prevailing favoritism whenever possible, I will support any, and every Democrat candidate.
