Beaufort County Commissioners to consider Resolution in Defense of Election Integrity | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Just last month, at the July 10, 2023 general meeting of the Beaufort County Commissioners, a majority of the commissioners voted 5 unto 2 in the negative to endorse, or lend any manner of support for election integrity as presented by Commissioner Hood Richardson, who offered for their consideration a mere premise to a resolution supporting the abject integrity of our democratic process ... the elected representatives of a self-governed people.

    The premise to that resolve for local support of free and fair elections was simply the good will sentiment of the elder commissioner, Hood Richardson, still needing a rounding of the words of advice and consent on this matter of honestly choosing our elected leaders. The commissioner in the negative offered not advice, no consent and just summarily voted "NO", with few reasonable words expressing why the negative sentiment.

    Tonight at this August 6th general meeting, these same commissioners will get a second opportunity to express their resolve for real election integrity, and this time they will be offered a brief, but full resolution, leaving naught to the imagination of what to offer or add. Just the opportunity for a second "bite of the apple" to affirm that integrity of what is all American citizens' grandest right - the right to fairly choose our representatives to be self-governed.

    Here below is that aforementioned resolution to be rightfully represented.

Resolution in Defense of Election Integrity

    Whereas, in this Constitutional Republic of the United States of America, elections are conceived to be administered by state legislatures, Article I, Section 4, Clause 1, and whereby Beaufort County, as a body politic of the state of North Carolina, is charged with the local administration of these democratic elections for all local, state and federal elected offices, and;

    Whereas, in all recent elections since 2016, where most notably the federal bureaucracy, in particular the Department of Justice and the FBI, have used their ominous offices of public power to commit Election Interference to sway public opinion to elect their preferred candidates, and;

    Whereas, a majority of the Free Press and Big Tech Social Media and Search, guaranteed by the First Amendment's free speech provision, is proved to have colluded with not only the FBI and Department of Justice, but also, while not limited to, the Democratic Socialist Party, their most notable politicians, and the Deep State to create and channel the elevation of their preferred speech; while restricting non preferred Free Speech by all means available, including political speech that is contrary to their colluded mission, and;

    Whereas, in a Constitutionally mandated Representative Republic, it is imperative that the public have the equal opportunity to know what is true about their government, and their representative political leaders; so that the most basic guaranteed freedom - the RIght to Vote to be fairly represented in this Representative Republic - is preserved now and for future generations so they may choose wisely when voting, and;

    Whereas, even in North Carolina, where Beaufort County is an integral part, election irregularities did exist across the state in the administration of the 2020 general election, therefore,

    Be it Resolved, that the Beaufort County Commissioners do hereby formally request that our elected representatives to the North Carolina General Assembly do all that is politically possible to insure that all future elections be free and fair, while conducted by the utmost integrity, and furthermore, that the North Carolina congressional delegation do all that is within the scope of their constitutional powers to eliminate all corruption from our federal institutions within our government of this Constitutional Republic of we, a self-governed people.

Written by Beaufort County Commissioner Stan Deatherage to be ratified on August 7, 2023 and sent by email to all members of the North Carolina General Assembly, and the remaining 99 county governments of North Carolina.

Do you consider Election Integrity an issue of some real importance, or just another conspiracy theory interfering with Democratic Socialist political hegemony?
  No, complete access to everyone voting, even in a willy nilly manner, is more important than getting it right by limiting access to those that would commit Voter Fraud.
  Yes, the most inalienable right of real citizens of this Democratic Republic is the Right to Vote, and that right shall remain sacrosanct for perpetuity.
  Again, I don't vote and I don't care.
