This political thing--Let's get real about it | Eastern North Carolina Now

Today, too many of us have some very weird and unworkable political ideas about politics.  From the founding of this Nation until about the 1950’s we had a simple strait forward political system.  A cause-and-effect way of dealing with every facet of our lives.  Most people, regardless of how intelligent, sophisticated or wealthy could stand in one place and see their entire world including family, church, work, friends and politicians.  This view of the world is correct when compared with the world we are now living in.  We see mostly smoke and mirrors.

The big change began during the 1960’s and has rapidly accelerated to our present-day very complicated world.  Ingrained corruption of our government probably began with the assignation of President John F. Kennedy.  That is when the first red flags of what has become the breakdown of the American dream, our society, were seen.  The murmurs that the CIA may have killed Kennedy should have been enough for a complete purge of that organization.  Another red flag was rumors that Lady Bird Johnson used her husband’s political position to obtain licenses for several television stations.

The evolution of a corrupt society snowballed with the invention of (secret) welfare, and the realization that we could print large sums of money without an immediate bad effect on the economy.  Technology got rolling in the 1990’s.   Rapid advances in technology provided us with rapid transportation and a surveillance system that allowed those who want a socialist-dictatorship to obtain the information they need to control the news media and us.

The rapid development of technology and transportation allowed those with less than Christian ethics to cleverly gain control and manipulate all of us.   Fortunately, many people have become keenly aware of what has happened.   Hopefully a majority of those voting are aware the system needs changing. Maybe “reversing” is a better word.

Almost every person in the United States has been manipulated, misinformed and maybe even brain washed.   I realize “brain washing” is an unacceptable and insulting term, but we are trying to get real here.

Consider that we need to pull ourselves out of the mud hole described above.  How do we do that?  We do it by changing the people who have been making decisions for us.  At least 90 percent of the elected officials holding office, from the dog catcher to the president need to be removed from office.

We need to rid ourselves of the dogma that we need to respect our elected officials.  This dogma is what allows incumbents to get elected over and over again.  Take the Biden crime family.  The voters of Delaware are to blame.  Common sense tells us not to trust a liar.  Joe Biden has been known as a liar for almost all his political career.  Lying is the red flag that should have taken him down 40 years ago. Biden went to Washington, DC as a freshman Senator in 1971, just in time to help usher in the Age of Corruption.   Forty-two years of deception.

The United States is unique among all the nations on the face of the earth.  We have a constitution, supposedly free markets, and of prime importance the Bill of Rights, firmly attached to our Constitution.  Many of the Western European nations have governments like ours but none with a strong Bill of Rights.  All of these nations have one thing in common.  Christianity.  We have lost much of the force of Christian ethics, and we need to return to honesty and the Golden Rule. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

It is time to get hard-nosed about who we vote for.  Changing governments means changing the people who are running government.   We have a small effect on State and Federal governments.  But, critical thinking tells us, we can have a much greater impact on local governments.  We have the same kind of bad thinking in County governments and school boards that we have in State and Federal governments.  Do not make the mistake of thinking all of the bad boys are in Washington, DC and Raleigh NC.  They are on your school board and your county commission.  Most of these people are very good at covering up “what they are”.  They get away with this because local newspapers, or the lack thereof, do not repot meaningful news.  They make just as much money reporting the garden club meeting, or the latest (useless) grant or some social gathering.  This protects the bad boys that you see every day.

Continuing to vote for any person because you go to the same church, or the same restaurant, or belong to the same club is not even close to doing your duty to yourself, your family, or your country.  If you have seen even the corner of his red flag, you need to vote him out of office whether he is Democrat, Republican or unaffiliated.  If you are absolutely sure the person is honorable and has stood up for Christian, conservative principles, then put him back in office. You will know his character from the controversies that have surrounded him.  Keep in mind, 90 percent of those in the office need to go.  With what has been going on for the past ten or more years, that person who has no controversy is probably one of the bad boys and he needs to go.  Investigate first, get the facts, unless that politician has stood up in the face of what has been going on, he needs to be put out of office.

Since the Conservative Club started our efforts, more than two years ago, to clean up the school board and county commissioners we have found that about half of those we supported, raised money for and campaigned for are not reliable.  We have been very disappointed in the votes cast by School Board member Gary Carlton and Commissioner Randy Walker.  They promised one thing and then voted with the bad boys.  They seem to be drawn to the liberal socialists like a moth to a flame.

You will never go wrong by voting against incumbents you are not sure about or who have the undying support of their political party.  Some great examples of bad boys are Senators Thom Tillis, Richard Burr and Commissioners Frankie Waters and John Rebholz.  These Elitists believe they should be allowed to control your life, often by the way they spend your money.  They run one way and then vote the opposite.

Put a stop to this corruption of our governments.  Vote the Bad Boys out.

Breaking it down cont.
The 60s were a time of great change. Kennedy was shot, Dr. King murdered, the Vietnam war raged. The space race, the Cold War, civil rights, the sexual revolution. Suddenly it became Ok to ask questions, turn on and tune out. Many see this period of American history as chaotic but really it was the beginning of the fulfillment of the American promise.

We didn't start the fire, it's been burning since the world been turnin

Big Bob: What ever would you know about "older Republican men?" You have never been one.

When I was a young Liberal, I often offered my opinion on music, but I did not play an instrument. Now, I play an instrument; I have little trouble playing Bob Dylan songs (since you referenced one of his mid sixties hits), yet I rarely offer my opinion now on music, I'd rather just listen or learn to play the song ... or make up a run of notes that please me, just me, maybe even my wife as well on occasion.

What I am driving at is this: Why offer any opinion at all if you really don't know your subject well enough to make any difference in what is opined.

I just sat through a 3 hour county commissioner meeting with The Hood to my immediate right.

It was once again a rightful pleasure, especially after scanning this article that he posted today, because no matter what the man writes, how he acts or is compelled to govern, there is always a common thread of what he knows to be true.

And that one common thread reassures me that at least one thing is steady and true in these days of the abject dishonesty of so many others.

Let's break it down:
HR says the decline began in the 60s. I call this the end of the "Leave it to Beaver " phase of American culture. Many older republican men remember this time with a fondness because the 60s brought two fundamental changes in American life.
1. Under law, people of color became full citizens of the United States with all the privileges and responsibilities granted under the Constiution.
2. With the invention of birth control, women could for the first time, control their reproductive process and therefore became free to live their lives as they saw fit. As every individual has the right to do.

The AI age will soon be upon us and with it and end to all personal privacy. Not even your thoughts will be safe. Sure it all will appear surreal at first and the possibilities thereof endless, but eventually every fly on the wall be a suspect.

There will be a time when energy is rationed as it were food to those stranded on an island. This may happen because we deindustrialize ourselves to the point we can’t make enough. Or if we have enough they will fake outages, cut off substations, reroute, disengage etc. until they are able to charge you into oblivion, (research California power outages).

Another thing is the massive amount of energy the AI age will require.

The sure thing is that the adversary cannot stand the fact we are able to use electricity at our will til our hearts content and they will use AI to limit use.

You mentioned the Technology rolling out in the 1990's. Technically is fast approaching Little Washington! Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) which is SMART METERS is the next step coming to Washington which will be on our houses for electric and water. This is another part of Government Control using AI that we don't need or want. Do you really want them knowing everything thing you use, what time you use it and how much you use???
This AMI will just give the Government more control over the people!!!
The City Council got plans in the works for AMI and we need to stand against it!!!

Bob,
Try dropping your political and opinion biases and look at this whole mess through a logical and unbiased lens. We can learn from real History, and we can make decisions on real facts. The system is not working, and the left has not presented a good alternative. We all need to look at candidates and positions as if the label was off the can and judge what is in it. Change the method and change the result.
