Poland submits illegal immigration issue to referendum vote | Eastern NC Now
challenge to EU pact on distributing illegal alien migrants.
Poland's conservative government is defying EU pressure on settling illegal aliens migrants by putting a referendum on the ballot for the October parliamentary election to let the people of Poland vote on whether they want to be forced to accept illegal aliens in the country. This comes as the EU is attempting to impose a new pact requiring EU member countries to accept quotas of migrants.
In a previous EU effort to do something similar, Hungary held a referendum on whether their people wanted to allow illegal aliens to be sent there, and over 90% voted that they did not want the illegal aliens.
