leftist NM governor tries to goosestep over Constitution with anti-gun EO
Leftwing Democrat New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisholm thinks she can cancel the US Constitution by executive order, specifically the 2nd Amendment. The nation's premier gun rights organization, Gun Owners of America, begs to differ, calls her act "tyrantical" and has lawyerd up to sue her on behalf of New Mexico citizens. Legislators are organizing to initiate impeachment procedings.
Lujan declared a "health emergency" in Albuquerque and its surrounding countiy and issued an executive order banning any carrying of firearms for at least 30 days. The governor clearly lacks the power to suspend the US Constitution, but she is arrogantly trying to do it anyway.

Meanwhile, the city police and county sheriff both said they are not enforcing the governor's order, and when gun rights advocates, many of them armed, held a rally for gun rights in Old Town Albuquerque, even the state police failed to show up to do anything about it.
This smacks a lot of the Nazi prelude to the draconian 1938 Reich gun law, a restrictive statute that is still in force in today's Germany. The Nazis began with a localized gun ban in Munich, and the New York Times dutifully repeated their claim that it was necessary because Jews were allegedly attacking Nazi officials with guns. Maybe Jewish folks should have had the foresignt to be doing that, but factually they were not. It was all a ruse to take peoples guns away, something all totalitarian countries try to do.

I agree. We need more guns. Please everyone, go get your carry permit (hell who needs one, am I right?!) WE must be armed at all times to achieve safety. I urge all Americans to never leave your house without a gun.

Well, "Law", suspending peoples rights for the interests of the state sounds a whole lot like a Nazi. It is esactly what Hitler did. Are you a Nazi? One of the rights Hitler took away was peoples gun rights, and he started with the Jews on that. Or course, Stalin did the same thing, so you may be a communist.

There's this thing called the 2nd Amendment that no elected official can arbitrarily decide to ignore. But this to matter little to some people if it suits their own personal beliefs.

Officials who suspend rights that are Constitutionally guaranteed are called dictators. I do not think we have any dictators yet at the state or federal level yet in the US, but we are getting uncomfortably close at the federal level and with a few governors like this one.
When guns are taken from law abiding citizens by decree, that is following Hitler's playbook as well as Stalin's. |

First of all guns alone don't kill any more than a knife jumps up and kills someone, someone has to pull the trigger or plunge the knife, it is people take lives. Maybe she should ban people instead of guns.
Medical mistakes take a lot of lives so do should she forbid people to see a doctor. |

The governor can act to suspend any right for the interest of the state, the people. Guns take lives, and no one has the right to take life.

NM has a governor arrogant enough to defy the Constitution and the Supreme Court. She is a threat to freedom and needs to be removed from office. This is an example of today's totalitarian Democrats.
