Reuters "fact check" claims no Israelis harmed at concert

ENCNow

The so-called "fact checker" industry has long been known to be highly politically biased to the left, often producing claims that are more ideological spin than they are fact.  Hamas terrorism is getting that treatment as the liberal fact check industry tries to cover for Hamas.

Reuters fact checks are one of the main agencies relied upon by Meta / Facebook and they have outdone themselves in lying to cover up for Hamas.

One of the Hamas attrocities was an attack on a music festival promoting peace in which 260 young Israeli and foreign festival goers were slaughtered.  Reuters put out a "fact check" that claimed none of the festival goers were harmed, which was an outright lie.  To bolster their "fact check" they attached a video of a different concert held three days earlier.

The "fact check" industry is a fraud that should be run out of business.

So, these self-styled "fact checkers" at Reuters don't even seem to read the news accounts of their own organization, and go out and deny them. The term for these people should be spin-meisters, not "fact" checkers. They were nailed on this one.

News operations and "fact checking" are usually separate arms of an organization. The article linked in the post above gives the source. It is even more appalling when so-called "fact checkers" ignore the news side of their own organization. Agency Press Francais operates the same way with separate news and "fact checking" arms, with the added problem that they are partly funded by the French government, which taints the spin on their "fact checking".

You say that Reuters put out a "fact check" that claimed none of the Negev festival goers were harmed. But there is no Reuters fact check that says anything like this. In fact, Reuters has reported extensively on the atrocities committed by the terrorists at the concert in Negev (see here: www.reuters.com). Where did you get your information?
