    Bradford "Brad" Enoch Brooks passed away November 3, 2023 in Washington, N.C. He was 87 years old. Brad moved with his family from Cleveland, Ohio to Greenville, N.C. during his early teen years. He attended Greenville High School and East Carolina College. Before graduating, he enlisted in the Army. After his honorable discharge, he returned to college, graduating from East Carolina University, with a degree in Accounting. He accepted a position with IBM, moving to Raleigh with his small family, and from there IBM transferred him to Boca Raton, Fl.

    A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM Monday November 13, 2023 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2425 North Market Street, Washington, NC 27889 and will be officiated by Pastor Jay Martin.

    The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM Monday November 13, 2023 at the Church of Good Shepherd.

    In Florida, Brad could live out his dream of sport fishing, entering and placing in several small tournaments, including the Pompano Beach Fishing Rodeo. Brad enjoyed many fishing trips with friends and family to Bimini, Bahamas. His passion for fishing continued throughout his life in the coastal waters of Pamlico Beach.

    Once Brad retired from IBM, he and his wife Dee, moved to Pamlico Beach for a short time before returning to Florida, purchasing a home on the water in Delray Beach. They lived there until Dee passed away. In 2010, Brad moved to Washington Park with his son's family, Bo Brooks, Billie Carol Stocks Brooks, and Hatteras Brooks.

    Brad is predeceased by his father Samuel Brooks, mother Rose Brooks and his brother Dale Brooks. He is survived by his sister Barbara Magahey, and his children "Bo" Samuel Graham Brooks and Laura Brooks Williams. Brad has three grandchildren, Hatteras Brooks who lives in Washington, N.C., and two who live in Florida, Elizabeth Rose Stevens, and Frank Linder. He also has two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Joseph.

    Brad lived a full life on the water and off. Many, family and friends alike will miss him.
