Texas Governor Abbott Endorses Trump | Eastern NC Now

    Texas Governor Greg Abbott endorsed former President Donald Trump for a second term as president on Sunday during a campaign event in Edinburg, a city about 30 miles away from the Mexico border.

    "We need a president who is going to secure the border," Abbott said. "We need a president who is going to restore law and order in the United States of America, not letting these criminals run ransack over the stores that you see images of almost nightly."

    "We need a president who is going to restore world peace, as opposed to this outbreak of warfare under Joe Biden. We need Donald J. Trump back as our President of the United States of America. I'm here to officially proclaim my endorsement for Donald J. Trump to be President of the United States of America again!"

    Trump said that it was a "tremendous honor" to get Abbott's endorsement while speaking to an audience of a few hundred supporters.

    Trump again suggested during the rally that he would build the border wall if elected, saying that he would make Abbott's job "much easier" because "walls work."

    Abbott reiterated some of his comments from his endorsement of Trump in a post on X Sunday afternoon.

    "Today, I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President," Abbott wrote. "Now more than ever, America needs a President who will secure the border and prioritize national security. President Trump is the clear choice to get the job done."

  Yes, it is a kind thing to do, and a way that our county, our state can aid in this tremendous effort toward local federal foreign aid; and now, thankfully, in great abundance.

  No, our Constitutional Republic WILL NOT continue to exist, as our United States of America, if we do not control our sovereign borders, to protect our citizens, to keep them solvent and safe.

  I only consider what is topical and popular since my friends, too, only care to do the same.

  Yes; test the depth of their "compassion" by giving Democratic Socialists an opportunity to enact all Sanctuary provisions in their communities to test how much they truly do care.

  No; the Biden /Harris Wide Open Southern Border Project is designed to only inundate "Red States" to begin their Demographic Upheaval for the benefit of we Democratic Socialists, our politics.
