climate alarmists have claimed forest fires as sign of "climate change"
Part of the dogma of the climate alarmist narrative has been a claim that an increase in forest fires is a sign of "climate change" caused by humans. The problem for them is that the actual facts don't fit their theory or their narrative. In fact, this year has seen the LOWEST US acreage burn by forest fires in decades.

One big thing that has contributed to forest fires over the past 20 years is some misguided environmentalists getting policies changed to not cut out underbrush like they used to. That means when a fire gets started, it spreads more efficiently, which is not a good thing. The data shows that most forest fires are caused by humans, often by arson, not natural causes like lightning.
