In major U-turn, leftist German gov't wants to criminalize aiding migrants | Eastern NC Now

proposed legislation would provide 10 year prison sentence, huge fines

ENCNow

For years, the German left has promoted and even financed groups that help illegal alien migrants enter the EU and Germany.  Now in a major U-turn, the Interior Ministry in German's left of center government has offered legislation to criminalize such activities that help and encourage migrants to enter.  The broad ranging legislation includes everything from the "sea rescue" ships often dubbed "migrant ferries" to groups that offer food and clothing to arriving migrants.  The law would provide hefty fines and ten year prison sentences for violation.

This change of heart comes hard on the heels of the major victory of anti-immigration parties in the neighboring Netherlands and massive anti-immigration protests and riots in Ireland.  Similarly, polls and local elections in Germany itself show massive gains for anti-immigration parties.

Hungary passed similar laws, dubbed their "anti-Soros law" several years ago.

America has the exact same problem today with many NGOs being funded, often by the government to encourage illegal alien migrants to enter our country. It is time to pass a similar law and criminalize this conduct. Indeed, the leaders of these NGOs can probably be prosecuted under existing laws, and hopefully the post-2024 Trump administratin will do just that.
