More and more smart people are predicting a political earthquake in 2024 | Eastern North Carolina Now

The following is an exclusive excerpt from The National Pulse from the new MAGA blockbuster book, The Emerging Populist Majority, by Gavin Wax and Troy Olson, published by Bombardier Books. The National Pulse editor Raheem Kassam wrote the foreword to this book, and the following excerpt is from Chapter 4, which deals with the ‘Boomer Alignment’ beginning in 1992.

In many ways, the Trump coalition that would shock the political world in the biggest upset in American presidential politics since 1948 is a combination of Pat Buchanan’s primary challenge and Ross Perot’s candidacy and issues. The first vote for president that Donald Trump would ever receive was actually from Perot’s political party that launched and then was unable to find any sort of successor—the Reform Party in California. Both Buchanan and Trump were possible candidates in 2000 for that nomination. All of this occurred before Trump switched his registration to Democratic in New York, among six other party switches in that closed primary state. Yet despite all those switches there remains a remarkable clarity and consistency on the actual issues and vision. The future anti-Trump coalition are those most committed to the globalization consensus that became established after the 1992 election, which was then brought into hyperdrive and defended by the party establishments of both the Democrats and the Republicans.

The Third Civic Order was articulated as needing to make the world safe for democracy, and in the twenty-first century, the more democracy would begin to slip into a recession after the first few years of the War on Terror, the harder it would become to maintain the consensus. Consider the 1992 election results but between only the two challengers to the incumbent (see the map below).

What you see here is a remarkable consistency between the country that elected every Democratic president after Harry Truman, with Democrat Bill Clinton putting together a coalition at the county and state levels that is very similar to Jimmy Carter and to a lesser extent, John F. Kennedy, and independent candidate Ross Perot, a full-on skeptic of free trade and the downstream effects of the new economy that would end up propping up the stability of the Boomer Alignment, and therefore the late Third Civic Order, performing incredibly well in what essentially is the old, old Republican coalition of Yankeedom (Northeast) and the Heartland (Midwest) all the way out west and to the coast. Of course, in the three decades since, a lot of Clinton’s strongest counties, especially in rural America, have gone away from the Democrats, which has made it incredibly difficult for their political results and outcomes to match their aspirations, and the cities have slipped further away as they had for many decades from the Republicans, that is…until the last eight years or so in many of the former industrialized areas.
First under Clinton and a Republican Congress, then under George W. Bush, who endured split, Republican, and Democratic Congresses, the uniparty consensus of liberal immigration bordering on a borderless vision of the world, of free trade and capital flowing throughout, and after 9/11, a foreign policy of undeclared, abstract, unwinnable, and forever wars made the Boomer Alignment and uniparty consensus harder and harder to swallow downstream.

And this is where the emerging populist majority, as a rejection of hyper-globalization, really begins to take shape.

Commentary

Remember you heard it first here.   The Election of 2024 will be unlike any other in our lifetimes, we predict.  Our sense is that a substantial portion of the voting public is disgusted and fed-up with American politics, from top to bottom.  We expect that detachment from traditional politics to yield a major political upheaval in both the primaries and the General Election, and onward into future elections of the decade.

One characteristic we envision will be a turning away from the traditional political parties.  The old days of people getting elected because the party anointed them are gone.  We The People are fed up with politicians who are more concerned with holding on to their seats than what is best for the county, state and nation.  We predict Joe Biden, if he prevails as the Democrat candidate will suffer the most from this shift.  We will not be surprised to see Donald Trump carry at least forty states and win the Electoral College by a landslide.

We also sense that Mark Robinson will also be the benefactor of this populist movement, depending on how well he manages his campaign, i.e. how closely he aligns himself with President Trump on issues that resonate with the ordinary folk across the state.

And here in Beaufort County we sense a shift with the County Commission and School Board.  Conservatives who focus on conservative approaches to modern problem will do well.

What we have no doubt about is that it will be an interesting fall.

Stan gets full credit for allowing differing opinions on this site. Many far right and left sites only tolerate their own viewpoint. Although I disagree with him on most issues, on this we agree.
He is smart to do. Its brings more traffic.

Big Bob: With what the smarter, far more decent and good Americans are learning about the cheating to win elections for babbling Non Patriot Democratic Socialist Fools, and what we are learning about the grift of the corrupt Merrick Garland DOJ and the corrupt Christopher Wray FBI, every time I hear a Leftist utter, slur or bumble through a mumble in an utterance of "January 6th," I feel a little sorry for them, because abject ignorance is an awesome burden to bear, but theirs alone.

This is a Free Speech platform, the only Free Speech platform originating from Beaufort County, in the entire history of Beaufort County, and while I will allow racist inspired comments as a Free Speech platform, I fully expect the many fair minded patriots that frequent, and comment often on this platform to speak in a truthful and knowledgeable manner to denounce all vestiges of racism when they witness it.

And, if they don't, then I will. So far, I am pleased with that balance of good sense versus its antithesis of such.

Stan,
Why is racism allowed on this platform?

Again, Little Bobbie, in your twisted Orwellian use of the word "true" you mean "consistent with the far left narrative", and no the factual truth, which I posted is not consistent with the far left narrative, but it IS consistent with the actual facts.

The ANTIFA / BLM insurreciton included a multi-day siege of the White House including repeated military-style attempts to breach the perimeter, and on one day the secret service even had to move the president to the bunker.

And the George Floyd situation was not the only time Pelosi called for an insurrection, On an earlier occaision, she called for "uprisings" against Trump.

Rioting, while never a good thing, is a more appropriate response to repeated police killings of minorities is not an insurrection.
An insurrection is losing the election, storming the capitol in order to kill everyone from the VP on down is, by definition, an attempt to stop the peaceful transfer of power and therefore, an insurrection.
Words matter.

JS - none of that is true.

Nancy Pelosi is on video encouraging the George Floyd ANTIFA / BLM insurrection before it started. What Pelosi suggested was "riots in the streets" as opposed to President Trump calling for "peaceful and patriotic protests at the Capitol" Kamala Harris is on record raising bail money to get ANTIFA / BLM insurrectionists out of jail as well as encouraging it. Are they "above the law"?

I think they all take an oath to uphold the constitution. As long as they do that, the constitution gives them/us the right to free speech.

That said, if she were ever to lead an insurrection against the US, she should be sacked. No one is above the law.

Bob, you attack those who take an America First position, so what do you have to say about one of your ilk, a "Squad" member, Ilhan Omar a US Congresswoman who has openly taken a "Somalia First" position, saying among other things that the president of Somalia is her president? www.breitbart.com
