populist right in first place, tranditional right second.

The politicak right is poised to win Austria's parliamentary election in two weeks according to the polls, with the populist / nationalist anti-immigration Freedom Party first and the traditional conservative Austrian Peoples Party second This is a similar pattern from EU parlaiment results earlier this year in Austria.

According to a recent poll by major European pollster INSA, the Freedom Party is at 29%, which would be its best showing ever, with the traditional conservative Austrian Peoples Party which heads the current government, second at 23%.  they are followed by Social Democrats at 21%, the liberal NEOS at 8% the Greens at 8%, and the satirical Beer Party at 5%..

The Austrian Peoples Party and the Freedom Party have formed one prior national coalition together, and are currently coalition partners in several Austrian state govenrments, but the current leader of the Peoples Party seems not to want such a national coalition this time.  The Beer Party has been around since 2015 but never before won any seats, and it appears it may for the first time this election.  A similar satirical Beer Party won seats in Latvia's parliament several decades ago and a satricial Sex Party came up a handful of votes short of winning a Senate seat in Australia a few years ago.
