Will Biden-Harris allow port strikes to cripple America next week? | Eastern NC Now

would shut all ports on east coast and gulf coast - lead to shortages and price increases

ENCNow

A major port strike on the east and gulf coasts next week could bring shortages and higher prices to American consumers, but the Biden-Harris regime is apparently refusing to use legal tools to stop it.  The Longshoreman's union has called the strike demanding much higher wages and refused the offer they have been given.  The result would be a stoppage of imports through gulf and Atlantic ports until the strike is settled.  Among items imported through those ports are quite a number of food items.

The Taft-Hartley Act gives the Biden-Harris administration the power to send the longshoremen back to work while the issues are settled.  Biden, however, has announced that he does not intend to use those powers, which would leave consumers at the mercy of price increases and shortages.

Better stock up now and avoid higher prices and empty shelves.

The union is timing this to put the maximum squeeze on Biden and Harris; either they move against the union and its members on the cusp of an election or they allow consumers to be screwed on the cusp of an election. Will they find a way out of that mousetrap?
