while German politicians call for increased political censorship of social media

A famous American actress has declared that the victory of President Trump "has removed a suffocating cloud on free speech" in America, adding "we went 1984 on ourselves" under Biden, referring to the dystophian novel by George Orwell about a totalitarian government.  Actress and filmaker Jusine Bateman who starred in "Family Ties" made the comments to the New York Post.

Renowned law professor Jonathan Turley has written several columns pointing out that the Harris-Walz ticket was by far the most anti-free speech ticket ever to run for the presidency.

Meanwhile, Germany's Green Party vice chancellor in the recently collapsed Scholz left-liberal government has demanded censorship of political comments on social media.  His party members have already filed a thousand criminal complaints against citizens for criticizing them on social media, which has led to at least two arrests.  One of those occured last week when a 64 year old pensioner in Bavaria had his home raided and himself arrested for "hate speech" for a social media post calling that very vice chancellor, who also serves as Economics Minister an "imbecile" for his mishandling of the German economy.

The fascist threat to freedom of speech in both Europe and America is clearly coming from the left.
