Congressional committee Covid report blasts gov't responses

A special bi-partisan select committee of Congress to study the Covid pandemic has issued a report running 520 pages in which it blasts many actions and inactions by government and its agencies. The report concludes that Covid emerged from a lab leak in Wuhan and that US governnment agencies as well as the Chinese were engaged in covering this up. Fauci's NIH and its contractor Eco-Health Alliance were blasted for dangerous gain of function research conducted in Wuhan that not only led to the pandemic but provided the Red Chinese with improved technology to produce bioweapons.

The report also blasted many of the government responses. It found that there was no scientific backing for the concept of social distancing and that masks do not work to stop the virus. It also found that lockdowns and vaccine mandates did more harm than good. It found that the WHO was ineffective in dealing with Covid because it was under China's influence.

Bobbie made excuses for what Hamas did to Israeli civilians on Oct. 7, so I guess that it is no surprise that he tries to deflect to cover for what Red China did in deliberately spreading Covid 19 around the world.

If he means hydrocloraquin by his term "horse paste", my mother-in-law's doctor in Greeenville prescribed that for her when she got Covid, and her case was mild after taking it.

Little Bobbie appears to be too dense to comprehend that gain of function research, which makes diseases worse and more infectious is very dangerous and very stupid. If Fauci and the Eco-Health Alliance had not been bankrolling this research at the Wuhan lab, there would not have been a dangerous new virus called Covid 19 ever created to leak out. People who fund and promote this dangerous research should be punished very serverely.

Doing it in China is even worse, since this concept could be turned into a bioweapon by one of our major adversaries.

The ChiComs understood that travel spread the virus. They immediately shut down travel within China, but left international travel open for weeks. That act is what led the virus to spread around the world. Take Europe. The first place the virus erupted there was Bergamo, Italy. The international airport in Bergamo had direct flights on a Chinese airline to Wuhan. Bergamo was also during the course of the pandemic one of the worst hit towns in Italy.

When China shuts down domestic travel because of the virus but leaves it wide open internationally, they damned well knew what that would cause. They ought to be held accountable for that.

Gain of function research is inherently very dangerous. Those who do it and cause something like this need to be very severely punished. Fauci and those at Eco-Health Alliance, who funded this, should be charged with millions of counts of criminally negligent homicide. It is especially obscene to do this in China because it gives the ChiComs the skill set to make bioweapons.

Deliberately exported...I dont think so. People in China were the first to get sick. Once out, it spread uncontrolled , no question.

My guess someone f-ed up in that lab. And that can happen in any lab.

Then there is China deliberately exporting the virus. While they shut down travel within China, they allowed it for over a month to the rest of the world. That is how it got out beyond China.

Sweden followed solid public health policy, as did some US states like Florida and South Dakota. They had much less harm from Covid than those who did the China-style lockdowns.

The Congressional report shows that much of Fauci's response was useless or harmful.
