French gov't toppled over attempt to cut seniors pensions but not migrant funds | Eastern NC Now

LePen offered way out but Macron allies refused to take it

ENCNow

French Prime Minister Barnier's government has fallen in a vote of no confidence. as the populist right National Rally joined the far left block around France Unbowed to bring down the government.   The French Constitution does not allow another snap election for another year since globalist President Macron just called one a few months ago.

The immediate cause of the vote against the government was Barnier's budget which contained cuts for French pensioners, something National Rally leader Marine LePen said was a red line for her party.  Despite a Budget Minister who went out of his way to be hostile to the National Rally, LePen kept trying to work out a compromise that they could accept and had already secured elimination of a planned electric rate increase.

Barnier's Interior Minister, a member of the traditional conservative Les Republicains had suggested eliminating free medical care for illegal aliens to balance the budget, but the cabinet as a whole refused to go along with that suggestion.  Such a proposal would have kept the National Rally in support of the budget as an alternative to cutting old age pensions.

Finding a workable government will now be a challenge in a parliament that is split three ways.  While the National Rally has at least made an effort to work with Macron's allies, the far left block has not and instead insisted it should name the prime minister and government.  Macron backed the far left in runoffs in the last parliamentary election and is now paying the price.

In neighboring Germany, the governing coalition collapsed a few weeks ago when the classical liberal Free Democrats abandoned it, but they will have a snap election for a new parliament.

Senior citizens who have paid into their pensions all their working lives deserve to get what they were promised. Migrants who are parasites and moochers don't deserve a darn thing from the taxpayers. They should be totally cut off from taxpayer paid benefits here and in Europe. That would stop a lot of them from even coming.

Hordes of illegal alien migrants are a threat to the finances and the safety of many countries in Europe. Crime has soared since the migrants have come in, and so has welfare. In Germany, now 63% of the country's welfare budget is going to subsidize freeloading migrants. It is likely similar in France. Not only should they be cut off from free medical care, but also from all welfare programs other than a ticket home.
