With France's government having just collapsed in a parliamentary vote of no confidence, immigration has become an even more dominant issue in the country. A recent poll shows how fed up the French people are with immigration, both legal and illegal.
In a poll conducted for two French TV networks and a newspaper, the respected French polling firm CSA found that 48% of the French people want ZERO immigration, either legal or illegal. This number is up from 41% the last time they asked the same question.
The most adamant group to stop immigration is the young people. Voters 18 to 24 supported zero immigration by 55%. The next strongest group was women, 53% of whom support a policy of zero immigration.
