State Rep. Susan Valdes of West Tampa joins the GOP caucus
A Hispanic female Florida legislator is the latest Democrat to defect to the Republican Party. State Representative Susan Valdes, a Cuban-American who represents West Tampa said she was tired of being marginalized by the Democrat House leadership and believed that she could work more constructively for her constituents as a Republican, whose caucus was more welcoming of her views.
