UK extends ban on "puberty blockers" for children indefinitely | Eastern North Carolina Now

In 2023, the UK's then-Conservative government banned administering "puberty blockers" to children to give time to study their effects. Now that those studies have been done, the new Labour government has extended that ban on puberty blockers indefinitely. These drugs used as puberty blockers have dramatic negative side effects on children, often sterilizing them. One of the main "puberty blockers" used on young boys is also used for chemical castration of rapists.
Separately last year, the UK's National Health Servide issued guidance to doctors that gender confusion in children is usually temporary, and that most will naturally grow out of it. Doctors were directed not to suggest surgery or drugs for gender confused children, or even new names or pronouns.

A number of countries in continental Europe also ban use of puberty blockers, hormones, and similar drugs on gender confused children.
Here is the US, the National Institute of Health commissoned a study of puberty blockers and their effect on children nine years ago. It was supposed to be made public earlier this year, but was suppressed. It is believed that the results could have hurt the Democrats in the election, but even after the election it is still hidden. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has written a strongly worded letter demanding release of the results of this study.
The doctor who directed that study, Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy, is currently being sued for medical malpractice by a patient who is now "de-transitioning" and was administered puberty blockers, male hormones, and breast removal surgery by Dr. Olson-Kennedy.

Let me get this straight. Bobbie says he "doesn't really understand" this issue but he is gung ho to encourage money hungry doctors to engage on genital mutilation and chemical castration of children? And for a condition that the medical experts in Europe say is termporary and that most children will naturally grow out of? Heck, even his fellow socialists of the British Labour Party can figure that out.
The only "hate" I can see in this is the hate toward children to allow this to be done to them and it is not reversible in many respects. Does he also support the female genital mutilation practiced in some parts of the Third World? Children need to be protected from these charlatans. The whistleblowers from the childrens hospitals that have been doing these things have pulled back the curtain on the harm being done to children. |

I see it more as speaking against hate. I dont really understand trans gender and frankly find the topic uncomfortable. These doctors are pushing a permanent "solution" to what is usually a temporary problem, and a "solution" where the "cure" is worse than the disease. This seems to be a problem with the medical principal of "first, do no harm." Why is this allowed in the US?
