conservative Texas AG Paxton signals possible primary against RINO Cornyn

RINO Senator John Cornyn of Texas has long been a thorn in the side of conservatives as he has been a key player in the McConnell camp of selling out on policy to Democrats. This led to Cornyn being loudly booed by delegates when he appeared at the Texas Republican state convention. Cornyn has sold out on issues ranging from gun control to immigration.

Now, a top drawer conservative challenger is testing the water to challenge Cornyn in the 2026 Republican US Senate primary. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has signaled he is considering a challenge to Cornyn. Paxton has been a tenacious fighter for conservative principles, filing lawsuits on behalf of Texans against liberal Biden-Harris policies and often successfully blocking them.

Ken Paxton representing Texas in the US Senate instead of John Cornyn would be a very welcome change.

A little closer to home, there was Democrat Senate President Pro Tem Marc Basnight, our own state senator, who left his wife at home in Manteo during legislative sessions and it was well known in Raleigh that the best route for a lobbyist to get something out of Basnight was to set him up with a woman.

One wonders if he has even heard of Bill Clinton's escapades with women including Monica Lewinsky, Joe Biden's rape of Tara Reid who was his Senate office staffer, Joe Biden sniffing little girls hair and putting his hands on them, Al Gore's multiple sexual assaults, or Kamala Harris' affairs with married men?

That fake impeachment was revenge for the AG's office investigating of some of the crooked RINO House Speaker's buddies, and was appropriately torpedoed and sunk by the state senate. The governor has also very appropriately torpedoed and sunk a bunch of the Speaker's allies in primaries this year and came close to sinking the Speaker himself in his own primary. The RINO House Speaker is the turd in the Texas political punchbowl, and hopefully he will be voted out of that office next month.

The Texas state senate found the allegations in that impeachment to be hogwash. It was motivated by a state house speaker who is cozy with Democrats and at loggerheads with state Republican leaders including the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general (Paxton). The governor backed primary challenges to that speaker and many of his key allies this year, beating many of them.
