UPDATE: The truck used by New Orleans terrorist Shamsud din Jabbar was rented. Another truck, a cyber truck, rented from the same agency was equipped with an improvized explosive device and exploded on New Years Eve in front of the Trump hotel in Las Vegas, killing its driver and injuring 8 bystanders. Jabbar was a convert to Islam, and this may be an adopted name rather than his original name. Jabbar made a video driving from Texas to Louisiana in which he complained about his divorce, said he originally intended to gather his family together and kill them, but decided based on a dream to join ISIS instead. He had been radicalized recently, and that may be related to the mosque he attended.

UPDATE: Four other suspects who were detected on surveillance video placing improvised explosive devices with remote detonators around the French Quater are being sought. Similar bombs were found in Jabbar's truck.

The New Years Eve terrorist attack at Bourbon Street in New Orleans that killed at least ten Americans was carried out using a truck that crossed the border from Mexico two days ago. A license plate reader at the border at Eagle Pass, Texas recorded the same license plate number as found on the truck in New Orleans. What this means for the investigation is still unclear, but it suggests a number of things that need to be followed up on.
Photos of the truck also show a black flag in the truck bed, but not well enough to identify the design on the flag. Several Muslim terrorist groups including ISIS use black flags with varying designs. Identification of that flag will also be an important clue.

UPDATE: The black flag on the truck has been identified as an ISIS flag. The driver of the truck has been identified as Shamsud din Jabbar, an arabic name. THere were also improvised explosive devices found in the area. The FBI says it is not terrorist related, but the mayor of New Orleans says it is and even Joe Biden says it is being investigated as a terrorist incident. One hopes that someone more credible than the FBI is also investigating this attack. The FBI has become far too prone to cover things up instead of being forthright with the public.
One hopes the Biden regime will be more forthcoming with information on this terrorist attack than they have been with the New Jersey drone incidents.

If one parent is an American citizen, the baby is an American citizen wherever the baby is born. If both parents are legal immigrants who do not have citizenship yet, I do not know how that would be viewed when citizenship by birth is eliminated. In a European country I once lived in, the baby would be eligible for citizenship when the parents or either of them were. I suspect that might be the way it would work here. In Europe, citizenship is based on the nationality of the parents or naturalization. In some cases that nationality can reach quite far back. For instance in German citizenship law, anyone who has an ancestor who was a citizen in 1871, when the united nation of Germany was formed from around 30 previously independent kingdoms, duchies, and principalities, can claim German citizenship today. There are even provisions for ethnic Germans whose ancestors settled in specific places in medieval times like the Baltic states, part of Romania, and part of Russia to claim automatic German citizenship today by ethnicity. Romania is another example, where anyone who had an ancestor who was a citizen of the Kingdom of Romania in 1919 is entitled to claim automatic citizenship, which about half of the citizens of neighboring Moldova have already done. Moldova was a part of Romania in 1919. The last European country to award citizenship by place of birth alone was Ireland. and their Constitution was amended in a referendum by a landslide vote to abolish that a couple of decades ago. The problem that led to the landslide vote to end it was abuse by illegal aliens. |

In the case of Barron Trump, his father was a US citizen and his mother was either a lawful permanent resident (legal immigrant) or had already attained US citizenship.

If Jabbar were indeed an anchor baby, and that seems like a reasonable possiblity, then he should be a poster boy for abolition of citizenship by birth alone. The American MSM is unlikely to dig into that but maybe the British media will, so that we can learn something.
