Kash Patel cannot arrive quickly enough to depoliticize the FBI
Under Biden, the increasingly politicized and "woke" FBI has ignored the world's biggest terrorist threat group, the Muslim jihadist radicals. Instead they have concentrated on groups that opposed Biden's political agenda. They targeted concerned parents who spoke out against wokeness at school board meetings. The FBI targeted traditionalist Catholics and right to life activists. They rummaged through Melania Trump's underware drawers instead of ferreting out Muslim extremists. They went on a massive manhunt for anyone who went near the Capitol on January 6.
It is like the letters FBI stand for "Follows Biden's Instructions". While the politization of the FBI began under Obama, it has become completely toxic under Biden. A recently resigned FBI agent was on talk radio today estimating that half of the FBI are now woke political hacks. Polls show that public trust in the FBI has tanked.
This once great agency needs major reform to get back to the respected and effective agency it once was. The incoming new director, Kash Patel, will have a big task ahead of him but seems to have the skill set to pull it off.

The point is that gun rights is consistent with low crime rates but gun control as in Germany or the UK can lead to explosiions of other types of crime like knife crime.

Switzerland and the Czech Republic have gun rights comparable to the US. Indeed, Switzerland requires all able bodied men to keep a military rifle and ammo at home. Their crime stats are much better than neighboring Germany, which still has Hitler's draconian Reich Gun Law of 1938 that largely prohibits private ownership of guns in effect. Germnay now has a massive knife crime problem that Switzerland and the Czech Republic do not.
My point was that if you want to classify semi-automatic rifles as "assault weapons" it makes equal sense to deem EV's "assault vehicles". No military in today's world uses semi-automatic rifles any more than they use flintlock muskets. |

Absolutely so we should pass out weapons so people will not kill each other with cars. Makes perfect sense.

EV's are particularly heavy and do more damage driven into crowds than conventionally powered vehicles. The huge weight of the battery is a large factor in the weight difference. The German Christmas Market terrorist used a conventionally powered vehicle and only killed 5, but using a much heavier and quicker to accelerate EV truck, the New Orleans terrorist killed three times as many. All the deaths in both cases were from blunt force of the vehicle, although both also had homemade bombs that were not exploded. Hmmm! Haybe we should designate EV's as "assault vehicles" and either ban them or highly restrict them?
If bad guys can't get guns, they will use something else for mayhem; a vehicle, a bomb, a knife, etc. There have recently been mass knifings at schools in China and Croatia, for example. |

It was NOT "high powered weapons" that killed those 15 people. It was an electric truck. That info comes from the medical examiner.
All of those involved in radicalizing Jabbar did indeed have something to do with this terrorist act. The latest information is that he has always been a Muslim, although many always suspected that due to his name, but he was a moderate Muslim until fairly recently when he became radicalized. He was attending a mosque run by the radical Muslim Brotherhood and had visited Cairo, Egypt where that organization is headquartered. The mosque is telling its members not to cooperate with the FBI which indicates it may have something to hide. If we do not want this to happen again, we must deal with Muslim extremism. It is not just the illegal aliens coming in, it is the legal immigrants who may become radicalized and most particularly, given Europe's experience, the first generation born here of Muslim immigrants or migrants, who are particularly prone to radicalization. Mosques that are praching jihadist hate need to be dealt with. |

What is your point. Of course it was a terrorist act. However, spreading hate for people who had nothing to do with it is wrong.
In America, we all have access to high powered weapons. Therefore, this kind of thing is going to happen over and over. Its our choice. I swear you people want it both ways and you can t have it. The guy had an ISIS flag on his truck for crying out loud. What part of that do these morons not understand? What part of his martyrdom video where he talks about how he joined ISIS and killing "unbelevers" do they not understand? According to the medical examiner, the preliminary indication is that the weapon used by Jabbar to kill all fifteen victims who died was his EV truck. Should those be banned? The far left has always tried to write off Muslim terror incidents as something else. Bobbie just parrots the leftwing talking points he gets elsewhere, so that must be the garbage they are trying to peddle on this one, too. The New York Post sent a reporter to Jabbar's residence, and found it was adjacent to a radical mosque run by the radical Muslim Brotherhood that he apparently attended, his yard had goats wandering around, and his neighborhood was full of Muslim migrants. |
