Federal judge strikes down Biden attempt to rewrite Title IX on gender ID | Eastern NC Now

Decades ago, the US Congress passed Title IX of the Civil Rights Act to protect women in education, particularly with reference to womens sports.  Last year, the far left activists in the Biden regime attempted to use executive fiat by rulemaking to rewrite Title iX to protect "gender identity" and "sexual orientation" instead.  Their radical administrative rules required local school boards to allow biological men who claimed to think they were women into women's sports teams, womens locker rooms, and womens restrooms.

Lawsuits were filed by state Attorneys General in 24 states to block this attempt by Biden's handlers to stand Title IX on its head.  Now, the first of the cases has been heard and ruled on in federal District Court in Kentucky.  Federal District Count Judge Danny Reeves has struck down the Biden rules on Title IX.

"When TItle IX is viewed in its entirety, it is abundantly clear that 'discrimination on the basis  of sex' means discrimination on the basis of being male or female," Judge Reeves wrote in his ruling. "Expanding the meaning of 'on the basis of sex' to include 'gender identity'  is not only an overstepping of authority but also turns Title IX on its head."

It should be noted that North Carolina's leftwing Attorney General, who is now our governor, Josh Stein, refused to protect North Carolina girls, and was the only Attorney General of a southeastern state to fail its girls.  We have a shameful far left ideologue as our governor.  Also failing our schools and their students, especially the girls was the NC Department of Public Instruction, the State Board of Education, and the NC School Boards Association.  All of those institutions are controlled by leftwing bureaucrats and they refused to get involved.
