Illegal alien arrested trying to start wildfire in Los Angeles area | Eastern NC Now

There have been past instances of both illegal aliens and climate alarmist activists attempted to start wildfires.  Now, an illegal alien from Mexico has been arrested by police after local citizens acted to stop him from using a blowtorch to start a fire near the Kenneth fire in Los Angeles.

Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva, an illegal alien from Mexico who was already wanted for a probation violation from an earlier criminal conviction, was using a blow torch to rry to start a fire in the vacinity of the Kenneth fire, which was already burning at that time when a group of citizens intervened to stop him and hold him for the police.  A video was made of the citizen intervention.  Police arrested him on the probation violation but have not yet charged him on trying to set a fire.  It is unknown if he was just trying to add to the Kenneth fire or had something to do with starting the whole thing.

ICE has placed a detainer on Sierra-Leyva, but it is unlikely that the sanctuary state of California will honor it.

In 2021, another illegal alien was arrested for arson for trying to start a wildfire in the Pacific Pallisades area and convicted for it.  Illegal aliens have also been apprehended for starting or trying to start wildfires elsewhere in the US and in Euope and Australia.  In a similar incident in Greece last year, local farmers intervened to stop some illegal aliens tryinig to start a wildfire, apprehended them and turned them over to the police.

Oddly, the Democrat hierarchy in California not only refused to hand over illegal alien criminals like Sierra-Layva for deportation but they are putting up money to sue the Trump administration to stop their deportation.
