Making America Great Again

ENCNow

President Trump signed 40 executive orders his first day in office, many covering multiple subjects.  Illegal immigration was a big target but so were economic issues. Trump took us out of the globalist Paris Climate Accords and the Chinese-dominated World Health Organization.  Something that needed doing a long time ago was ending citizenship by birth alone.

A full list of all 40 executive orders can be found at this link as can the text of all of them:

Also symbolic of the new administration is the changes in the Oval Office.  While Biden had a portrait of FDR over the fireplace, Trump has replaced that with a portrait of George Washington.  Also on display under Trump are portraits of Presidents Andrew Jackson and Thomas Jefferson.  The bust of Sir Winston Churchill that was a gift from the UK and had been removed by both Obama and Biden, has been restored to its place of honor by Trump.

It is great to have grown-ups back to running things.

It is great that Trump is beginning to cut off benefits to illegal aliens, but this needs to be given a lot of teeth as the administration gets settled in. Welfare and other benefits, including free medical care, are a big "pull" factor causing illegal aliens to come to the US. States should have to certify that no federal funds have been distributed to non-citizens and should face severe penalties if they are caught giving out federal funds to non-citizens. If there are not severe penalties on the states, liberal states will bend the law to the point it is not recognizable.
