Even with staff shortage, FAA turned away 1,000 controller apllicants due to DEI | Eastern NC Now

Now a major British newspaper has spilled the beans with more details on how the Obama regime, then the Biden regime caused our air traffic controller problem through their far left DEI ideology.  Biden and Obama put leftwing dogmatism over public safety.

Under Obama, over a thousand qualified white applicants were turned away as they sought positions as air traffic controllers in order for the FAA to try to meet racial quotas.  This happened despite a shortage of air traffic controllers and just resulted in a bigger shortage.  Biden added to the mess by seeking bizarre categories as air traffic controllers who clearely would be at a disadvantage in functioning in the position, such as blind people, deaf people, those with severe psychiatric problems, and severe intellectual deficiencies.

These racist DEI policies of Obama and Biden have led to lawsuits like one in 2015 by a white applicant who had very high scores on the skills test but not hired.  At about that time, the Obama regime eliminated a test based on skills needed to function as an air traffic controller, and replaced it with a biographic assessment.
