top Treasury Dept. bureaucrat resigns after DOGE finds bad payments practices | Eastern NC Now

no scrutiny of payments systems sent money to frauds and terrorists

ENCNow

David Lebryk worked as a careerist for the US Treasury Department for years and has recently served as the departments highest ranking career bureaucrat.  He has even served as Acting Treasury Secretary prior to confirmation of President Trump's new appointee.  Now he has abruptly resigned.

Lebryk has been the head of Treasury's payment systems, and an investigation of those by DOGE has already turned up major problems.  DOGE now wants a full audit, and Lebryk responded by resigning his position.  THe problem that has been going on for years as Lebryk instructed Treasury payments officers never to question requests for payment but just pay them, so they have not been scrutinized.   That has resulted in payments to fraud schemes and even terrorists.  The payment systems involved trillions of dollars per year.

Here's who now has access to your social security number.

"Many of these Musk staffers are young people between 19 and 24, such as software engineer Akash Bobba, an undergraduate student at University of California, Berkeley, and 2022 high school graduate Edward Coristine. At Musk’s direction, these inexperienced underlings now have access to the private information of every federal employee, and even people who have merely applied to federal jobs."
And a whole lot more

Trump and musk lie.

They all want to do it. They just haven't figured out how to do it, and get re-elected.

More Democrat fear mongering from the far left narrative there, Little Bobbie. Trump has made it clear that Social Security and Medicare are protected. But why is Bobbie now deflecting to protect career bureaucrats? Musk wants a full audit, and that is absolutely called for with what he found. It looks like Bobbie is just a Big Government groupie.

If musk cuts off social security checks or Medicare, it’s pitch forks and torches time.

Don’t stand for it.

Appalling. I suspect that there is a lot more rot in our bureaucracy. It is a good thing we have DOGE on the job to find it.
