Sen. Schmitt blasts vast censorship network of gov't-funded NGOs | Eastern NC Now

free speech under attack by American left

ENCNow

The massive amount of US government funding going into organizations promotng censorship of conservative thought and messaging while propping up leftwing media was first exposed by DOGE's findings at USAID.  That organization, however, is not the only source of funding for anti-free speech activities within our government.

Now, Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO), formerly his state's Attorney General, has unloaded on the vast network of government-funded NGO's promoting censorship of political  thought both domestically and abroad.

It is President Trump who is defending democracy by ending these government attacks on freedom of speech. It is the Democrats who are the threat to democracy due to their attacks on free speech, both in America and overseas.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental Constitutional right under the First Amendment, also known as a civil right. There is a federal felony statute for conspiring against someone's civil rights. It would seem to me that everyone, in and out of government who is involved in this network conspiring against people's freedom of speech ought to be indicted under that statute and arrested. Someone should suggest that to Pam Bondi.
