Manhattan Institute study: Biden illegal alien surge to cost taxpayers $1.1 Trillion | Eastern NC Now

A new study by the Manhattan Institute calculates that the surge of illegal aliens during the Biden years will ultimately cost federal taxpayers $1.1 Trillion over their lifetimes.  This does not include the costs to state and local taxpayers.

The study when lumping illegal aliens with true immigrants, finds that overall immigration is positive for the economy, but some categories are genuinely positive and others heavily negative.  Legal immigrants must prove they can support themselves or have sponsors who will support them, and so tend to be positive. Refugees, who are entitled to all welfare programs from the time they arrive are the mostly costly to taxpayers.  The scam of most illegal aliens today is to "seek asylum" even when they do not really qualify for it, to put themselves into that class of "refugees".

State taxpayers are also hit hard for these freeloader illegal aliens, especially in states like New York, California, and Illinois, but even here in North Carolina. So are local taxpayers. Education and health care for these deadbeats costs a lot. The sooner Trump gets them sent home, the better.
