Google's business model has always revolved around collecting and selling the data of its users. People concerned about their privacy should be smart enough to use Google's privacy oriented competitors instead of Google.
Now Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has secured a $1.375 Billion settlement from Google for violating the privacy of Texas citizens. Paxton filed a 44 page complaint against Google in 2022 detailing Google's infringement on the privacy of Texans. After the discovery process further sharpened his knives against Google's invasion of privacy, Paxton was able to secure the huge settlement in the lawsuit. Among other things, Paxton was able to establish that Google often lied to its users about being able to turn off tracking.

The highly successful and very conservative Texas AG is now running for the US Senate against RINO incumbent Cornyn and leading in the polls for that office.
For those concerned about privacy, competitive search engines with a better record on privacy include BraveSearch, DuckDuckGo, and even Bing. BraveSearch is the most solid search engine on protecting user privacy.
Google's search engine is also notorious for being very politically biased and slanted.
For smartphones, Apple offers more privacy protection than the Google-based Android phones. However there are a number of privacy based operating systems that can be run on Android phones after stripping out all the Google data collecting parts. It is easy to find them on eBay by searching for "de-Googled smart phone".
There are multiple browsers that are alternatives to Google Chrome. One of the most privacy oriented is Brave. There are also many alternatives for email to Google's gmail. One of the most privacy oriented is ProtonMail, which is based in Switzerland but available worldwide.
While attorneys general here are working to protect the privacy rights of citizens, the gloablist bureaucrats of the EU are working just as hard to force American companies to expose the data of US users.

Glad to see this. Google slants its searches to the left. No conservative should ever use them. Selling your data without getting your permission makes them very anti-privacy. Hooray for Ken Paxton. He is fighting for We the People.

You can get the CalyxOS and install it on any Android phone or buy an Android with it already installed. I did the latter. Several of the other de-Googled operating systems give either option as well. A European group that promotes privacy oriented phones only sells their system already installed on a specific brand of Android phone.
Let me also mention one to avoid and that is the Freedom Phone, which was hyped a lot on conservative sites a few years ago. They sold the entire phone with the system installed. The hardware was very cheap Chinese junk, but sold at a high price. The system installed was the first generation of a different de-Googling system that was no longer even offered to customers by its developer which had improved significantly on that version to develop its current product. All in all, not a very good value.
