European researcher finds widespread USAID promotion of censorship, election interference | Eastern NC Now

A researcher working for a member of the European Parliament has found evidence of extensive promotion of censorship and election interference by USAID before that agency was terminated by President Trump. Researcher Bernadette Conrads spent five years researching USAID and its grantees.
It was early in Obama's second term that USAID was politically weaponized to function as a leftwing slush fund instead of the foreign aid agency it was intended to be. It resisted both congressional and presidential oversight until Trump lowered the boom on them.
