Sen. Lindsay Graham (RINO-SC) gets major GOP primary challenger | Eastern NC Now

third major RINO senator to face likely career ending primary challenge in 2026

ENCNow

Hard on the heels of swamp rat NC US Senator Thom Tillis (RINO-NC) bowing out of a reelection race he could not have won, his RINO colleague in South Carolina, Lindsay Graham has drawn a major primary challenger.  Graham has historically been weak on illegal immigration and was long nicknamed "Lindsay Grahamnesty". He has been censured many times by GOP groups in his home state for his liberal votes.

Former two term South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Andre Bauer, a staunch conservative, has announced his candidacy for the Senate seat now held by Graham.  President Trump once described Bauer as a man "who could run for almost any office and win."

Two other major primary challenges to RINO US Senators in the south for the 2026 election are currently underway. In Texas staunch conservative state Attorney General Ken Paxton leads incumbent RINO US Senator John Cornyn in the polls by double digits.  In Louisiana, uber-RINO US Senator Bill Cassidy, an outspoken opponent of President Trump, faces current State Treasurer and former US Congressman John Fleming, a staunch conservative, who has also posted a double digit poll lead over the RINO incumbent.

Lindsay Graham was one of the original Senate "gang" supporting amnesty for illegal aliens. With Trump in power, he is smart enough to know that is going nowhere and keeps quiet on it, but he is fundamentally bad on the immigration issue and needs to go. Bauer would make a great replacement.

What swampy Republican senators did or allowed to happen to the Big Beautiful Bill in the Senate is disgusting, and we need to replace all of them we can in the primaries, because we also need to replace the new McConnell, John Thune. It was the swampy Republicans themselves who were responsible for some ot the watered down items like cutting only half of Biden's spendthrift Green New Deal instead of all of it, like the House did. On other things like letting illegal aliens still get Medicaid, it was a matter of Thune refusing to overrule the Democrat Senate Parliamentarian who had been hired by Harry Reid. Why in the heck did we even have a Harry Reid holdover sitting in that position to screw with this bill? Too many "Republican" senators are really Democrats in Drag. Getting rid of that sellout Tillis is a good start, and so will be taking down Cornyn, Cassidy, and Graham, but there are more that need their walking papers. That idiot James Lankford who tried to do Biden's bidding on open borders comes up agains in 2028. He badly needs to go. All of these sellouts helped Obama and Biden get some of their key legislation through.
