Trump DOE enforces federal law to cut off taxpayer funds to illegal aliens for school | Eastern NC Now

Democrat "rule" had defied statutory law

ENCNow

Trump's Department of Education has announced it is enforcing federal statute and cutting off illegal aliens from taxpayer funding for adult education programs.  The law as passed by Congress, the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act, had limited using taxpayer money for tuition for adult education to US citizens.  The Clinton Democrats, had, however, adopted a federal regulation that purported to allow illegal aliens to also access these funds.  Federal regulations, however, cannot contradict statutory law as this one did and the DOE has properly restored enforcement according to statutory requirements.
