Greek gov't introduces legislation to jail illegal aliens who refuse to return home | Eastern NC Now

Greece just imposed moratorium on claiming asylum

ENCNow

Greece is upset with being overrun by illegal alien migrants, and its conservative government is responding.  The Greek government, headed by the New Democracy Party, recently took administrative action to put a moratorium on migrants from Muslim North Africa, the source of most of the migrants entering Greece, from being allowed to claim asylum.  They have just followed that up with strong new legislation in parliament.

The legislation offered by the government will require illegal aliens arriving in Greece to return home, and if they do not they will be sent to prison for a minimum of three years.  So the migrants will have a choice between returning home or a Greek prison for at least three years, after which they will probably be sent home anyway.

Already, Greece has begun detaining illegal aliens, arresting 247 new arrivals from Libya.

Similar legislation would be great for the United States. This is even stronger than the great work Trump is doing on this issue.
