Virginia election law makes political contributions by foreigners illegal. Nevertheless, campaign reports show Virginia's Democrat nominee for governor Abigail Spanberger received contributions of $50,000 from Chinese electric vehcile tycoon Pin Li, a member of the Chinese Communist Party. CCP members are not allowed to have dual citizenship.
Furthermore, Li's "investment" in Spanberger is already paying dividends, as she has started preaching EV mandates in her campaign. She is bought and paid for by these Chinese special interests who are pushing climate alarmism for their own economic purposes.
