Electric bills in New Jersey have tripled under the climate crusade of Democrat Governor Phil Murphy since 2017. The most recent increase this summer was 20%. Murphy has shut down the state's coal and nuclear power plants which had provided cheap and dependable electricity for the state and promotes expensive and unreliable wind and solar as a replacement.
Republicans have now become competitive in the governor's race and are hammeing the Democrats on the state's unaffordable electric bills due to the Democrats' "climate" crusade. The state votes for state offices in odd numbered years and the issue may be decisive in the 2025 governor's race.
The power of this issue was shown in the last race for the provincial parliament in Ontario, Canada's largest province by population. Conservative leader Doug Ford focused his campaign on ending the Liberal's wind and solar crusade, and flipped a 2 to 1 Liberal over Conservative majority to a 10 to 1 Conservative over Liberal majority. As the new premier, Ford's Conservative government started with cancelling all wind and solar permit applications that were in the pipeline and then repealed the Green Energy Act. They also indicted four wind energy companies for multiple felonies of polluting the groundwater.
Or then there is Germany where Merkel's Energy Transition has cost consumers a bundle and caused industry to leave the country. Thanks to wind and solar, power prices have doubled in the last decade, while grid reliability has tanked. In the last German election, parties who wanted to decrease the dependence on wind and solar got 60% of the vote.

Democrat-run Maryland is also chasing the "green" rainbow with wind and solar while shutting down coal, nuclear, and gas. The result is the same, a grid on the verge of collapse and sky high electric rates.
Wind and solar are much more vulnerable to weather events than conventional electricity and produce lots of toxic waste as solar panels and turbine blades wear out.

Don't forget that RINO US Senate candidate Michael Whatley worked for the solar grifters in his lobbying and public relations firm. He is in bed with the devil on this issue, too, just like RINO Senator Thom Tillis has been. RINOs are just as bad as Democrats. And, yes, Phil Berger is an enemy of electric consumers on this issue, too.

Watch out North Carolina. Gov. Roy Cooper supported the same things on this climate scam as NJ Gov. Murphy and so does Josh Stein. The bad thing is that NC's own Green New Deal to shut coal power plants and replace them with wind and solar, HB951, was rammed through the legislature by RINO liberal Senate boss Phil Berger. Thanks of that buffoon Berger, NC is on the same path as NJ.
