SC Dems only candidate for governor arrested in underwear on street screaming | Eastern NC Now

appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic

ENCNow

Police body cam footage has been released on South Carolina Democrats only announced candidate for governor that has led to calls for his withdrawal from the race.  William "Mullins" McLeod, a prominent Charleston attorney and former Charleston County Democrat Party chairman was arrested in Charleston walking down the street at 3AM wearing only underwear and shoes yelling at the top of his lungs.

When approached by police and asked his name, McLeod told them it did not matter and then said they could call him Superman.  He later changed that to "God".   When he arrived at the police station, McLeod refused to get out of the back seat of the patrol car and said he would just go to sleep there.  The police report noted that McLeod's eyes were bloodshot and glassy, indicative of being under the influence of stimulant narcotics.

During his tirade to the police, McLeod threatened to "kick the f__king teeth in" of expected Republican gubenatorial nominee, SC Attorney General Jeff Duncan.
