Illegal alien truck driver with CA CDL kills 3 in FL illegal U-turn on expressway | Eastern NC Now

There is enough danger to motorists from giving illegal aliens US drivers licenses. The danger is even greater when a state gives an illegal alien a commercial drivers license to allow him to operate an 18 wheeler on our highways, but that is what some Democrat states like California and Illinois are doing.

That came to a head recently in Florida where an illegal alien who had a California commercial drivers license and was operating an 18 wheeler killed three Americans while making an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike.  While the truck had come to a stop as the illegal alien driver was ignoring a clearly posted No U-turn sign, a van with three Americans in it was unable to stop, collided with the truck, and was shredded.  The three occupants were all killed instantly.   The illegal alien acted unconcerned.

The illegal alien driver apparently sneaked into the country across the southern border in 2018 as a "gotaway".  He sought a work permit from the first Trump administration in 2020 and was denied, but was issued a work permit in June, 2021 by the Biden regime.  California statutes technically do not allow illegal aliens to get commercial drivers licenses, but in that sanctuary state, that law was not being followed and he was issued one anyway.

There need to be financial penalties against states like California who issue these licenses and put these illegal alien truck drivers on our highways.  The Trump administration has recently implemented a crackdown on truck drivers who cannot speak English.  The Washington Examiner has a good editorial on how states issuing drivers licenses to illegal aliens is "amnesty lite" and action should be taken to keep them from driving in other states.

Transportation Secretary Shawn Duffy has announced an investigation to crack down on states issuing CDL's to illegal aliens, and includes both states issuing them and the trucking company this illegal alien drove for.
