3rd Congressional district GOP brings party disloyalty charges against Phil Berger | Eastern NC Now

unanimous resolution joins several GOP county organizations

ENCNow

Phil Berger has had yet another GOP organization bring party disloyalty charges against him based on his open public endorsement of a liberal Democrat judge against a Republican candidate (the Republican won despite Berger's help for the Democrat).  The latest to bring charges against Berger is our own 3rd Congressional District, which unanimously passed a resolution bringing the charges.

NCGOP procedure calls for charges of party disloyalty to be brought before the NCGOP state executive committee for determination, which can ban a party official found guilty of party disloyalty from any office in the party for up to five years.  The executive committee some years ago found former House Co-Speaker Richard Morgan (RINO-Moore) disloyal and banned him from party office for the full five years.

Berger is also highly controversial with the GOP base for his tendency to ram through last minute liberal legislation, most recently Shrimpgate, which was ultimately stopped in the House after Berger rammed it through the Senate.  He seems more interested in representing the special interests than the GOP base.

Berger is also the one responsible for redistricting Sen. Bill Cook (R-Beaufort) out of office and putting our county in a heavily Democrat district.  Berger wanted to push Green New Deal legislation and Cook was inconvenient to Berger because he was a strong and determined opponent to that liberal nonsense.

Phil Berger is what one would call an "Undocumented Democrat". It is an insult to Republican voters to have him as "Republican" leader in the NC Senate. YES, throw him out of the party. FLIP THE BERGER. He richly deserves it.

What that despicable scoundrel Phil Berger did to us on the NC Green New Deal, HB951 as totally rewritten at the last minute in the Senate is unforgivable. His rotten deal with Roy Cooper and with woke electric monopoly Duke Energy is already running up our power bills. Berger's HB951 is more radical that the European Union's Green Deal, which Europe's farmers call "climate communism".

Phil Berger needs to be run out of office on a rail. I am glad to see his own county sheriff is primarying him next year. Throw the scoundrel OUT.
