Washington Times editorial - Europe does better on ballot security than US | Eastern NC Now

we should adopt stricter policies of Europe to avoid election fraud

ENCNow

The Washington Times has an interesting editorial on election fraud, pointing out that Europe's much tighter ballot rules give them a much more secure election system than our own country.  One example is mail-in voting, which the Jimmy Carter commission on US elections called the biggest source of voting fraud, but is widely allowed, or sometimes even required in many US states.  That is not the case in most of Europe or indeed most of the world.  There are 172 countries that simply do not permit in-country mail-in voting.

Fortunately, President Trump has recently issued an executive order setting in motion an effort to reform our election system to make it more secure.
