Patriotic billionaire gives $130 Million to keep troops paid in Schumer shutdown | Eastern NC Now

after Democrats in Senate refused to pass limited bill to pay troops

ENCNow

The Schumer shutdown left our military unpaid, with difficult situations for military families.  Republicans offered a limited bill to pay the troops but Senate Democrats refused to go along, and put up a filibuster.  Now a patriotic billionaire, who tried to remain anonymous, has stepped in and given a check for $130 Million to cover military payrolls during the Schumer shutdown.

The New York Times however was able to track the mystery donor down and publish his identity.  He is 83-year old Timothy Mellon, who lives in Wyoming and is the grandson of prominent banker and former US Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon.

Americans should take their hats off to Mellon for his generosity in helping protect our military families from the hardships imposed by the Democrats in the Schumer shutdown.

Now with Food Stamp (SNAP) money about to run out at the end of the month, will George Soros or one of his ilk step forward to cover their expenses?  Doubtful.

My question from the common man, those who spend much of their lives considering what is real from that which unambiguously is not: Where are the patriotic Leftists, or is that now a furtive oxymoron - patriotic /Leftist(s)?

Now, hopefully somebody will come forward to contribute to the salaries of ICE, which is still working despite the Schumer Shutdown and not getting paid. They are true patriots, too.

Timothy Mellon is indeed a great patriot for this generous act. All patriotic Americans should thank him. And, yeah, lets just see if any of those leftwing billionaires step forward to save Food Stamps the same way.
