European leftwing billionaires put $2B into leftwing influence peddling in US | Eastern NC Now

Foreign citizens are prohibited from contributing to US election candidates, but a group of leftwing European billionaires has found a way to influence US elections by a shady scheme of influence peddling by contributing over $2 Billion to issue based groups that push Democrat Party issues.  A new report from Americans for Public Trust details who the foreign billionaires funding this influence peddling scheme are and who they are working with in the US.

One angle used by these billionaires to push leftwing policy in the United States is funding lawfare to try to get activist judges to enter politically or ideologically motivated orders.  The five billionaires or billionaire families involved are the Carlsbergs of Denmark, British hedge fund billionaire Greg Skinner, British billionaire Alan Parker, the German / Dutch Brenninkmeijer family, and British billionaire Christopher Hohn.  each of these billionaires funnel their money through "charities" they have created.  Pushing radical environmental policy through the courts or regulation has been a particular area of concentration.

One would hope our government finds a way to shut down this foreign influence peddling.   It is not the only effort to shape US policy through funding ideological organizations.  Congressional investigations have found that Russia used to fund US environmental groups through a "charity" they bankrolled in Bermuda, as well as significant Chinese funding of US environmental groups.

Hungary dealt with this problem of foreign billionaires influence peddling in local politics by passing its famous "Anti-Soros Law" to restrict those activities, which led to a tantrum by the EU.  Hungary actually made certain of their activities criminal felonies.

Remembering that these globalists and environmental extremists want us to eat bugs and worms instead of meat, this cartoon illustrates where they are trying to push us:

There are economic reasons why Russia and China have funded environmental organizations in the US and it has nothing to do with any love of the environment. It has to do with economic competition. Russia has wanted to hamstring our energy sector, with which it comperes by promoting groups that want to tie it up with regulations and lawsuits, but they seem to have had other things that have taken priority in more recent years. China wants to drive up energy costs for our industries, giving a competitive advantage to their own where cheaper coal fired power is their continuing energy mainstay. They also want to sell us solar panels, of which they are the major worldwide supplier and raw materials for wind turbines.

These five billionaires, on the other hand, are in it purely for ideological purposes. America needs to find a way to shut down all of this politically motivated foreign money coming in.
