An interesting analysis of 79th district House race and dirty dark $$ from Carolina Forward | Eastern NC Now

even liberals who don't agree with Kidwell acknowledge that dirty money bought this seat

ENCNow

Carolina Forward is a liberal advocacy group.  They acknowledge that they do not agree with Keith Kidwell's conservative positions on much of anything.  Yet ever they were appalled by the way special interest dark money was spent massively to buy the 79th district seat out from under Kidwell.  They recognize that it was happening other places in North Carolina, too, but used the 79th district as their example of the excesses of special interest dark money buying public offices.  Dark money means that it is often not possible to trace where much of it really came from.  That was true of the dark money estimated between $500,000 and $800,,000 spent against Kidwell.  Their YouTube video is entitled "How Big Ag Got its Way in the NC State Legislature"

(You might now need a Google account to sign in to view videos on YouTube.  Sometimes when you click that link it requires it, sometimes not)

Of course, they do not even get into the big money spent on TV against Kidwell by the gambling industry. which out and out lied about his record on taxes in their last minute ads.

Glad to see that video is working when you click on the link. It really tells it like it is on what happened to our House district.

Good that the video now seems to work without the Google sign-in. Everyone should be concerned about special interest dark money buying our legislative seats. They bought some other seats in our primaries away form conservatives in other districts besides Kidwell's. It is good to see both liberals and conservatives concerned about this threat to our elections. That video said it all. This liberal group does not agree on policy with Kidwell, but they value having an honest legislator, even one they disagree with, over a special interest hack like Armst5rong. Tellingly, they identify Armstrong as the real "sellout".

It was Phil Berger who invited the special interests so deeply into our politics with his corrupt pay-for-play tactics. It is good Berger is gone.

I am told that common sense farmers who want a conservative Commissioner of Agriculture have identified a challenger to liberal RINO Steve Troxler to challenge him in 2028. We need to get behind that challenger. NEVER TROXLER.

When the new legislature gets sworn in, we will have a special interest puppet as our legislator. He is bought and paid for.

This would be a very interesting video to watch, BUT it seems that YouTube is now requiring a sign in with a Google account. As a conservative, I do not and WILL NOT ever have a Google account. Google is a very evil leftwing company that promotes censorship and attacks privacy. Their business model is to sell and otherwise use your data. Signing in means they will be tracking what videos you watch. Texas just got a settlement of over a billion dollars from Google for their citizens from Google collecting and abusing their data.

YouTube, which became CensorshipTube after Google bought it, has now also become UseslessTube because only those foolish enough to set up a Google account can use it. SCREW THEM.
