William Earl Frizzell Sr. | Eastern NC Now

    William Earl Frizzell, Sr., age 63, a resident of Chocowinity, died Thursday, April 16, 2026, at ECU Health Medical Center.

    A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, with Timothy Evans and Donnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends Sunday evening, April 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    William Earl was born on July 29, 1962, in Nansemond County, VA, to Judy Beacham Frizzell and the late Joseph Earl Frizzell. He attended Chocowinity High School. William Earl was a welder with Obi Linings and Industrial Fabrications Inc and the Roberts Company. He loved his grandkids, loved riding four wheelers, fishing, NASCAR, cooking out and watching old western movies with John Wayne. William Earl attended Peace Chapel FWB Church.

    Survivors include his wife, Rita Campell Frizzell of the home, his mother, Judy Beacham Frizzell of Washington, his children, Crystal Frizzell Leach (Frank) of Chocowinity, William Earl Frizzell, Jr. of Washington, Matthew Aaron Frizzell (Crystal) of Bailey and Brianna Nicole Frizzell of Chocowinity, brothers, Preston Frizzell (Terry) of Greenville and Timothy Frizzell of Washington, sisters, Barbara Ann Frizzell of Washington and Michaela Frizzell Thomas (Terrence) of Greenville, grandchildren, Brayden, Taylor, Ethan, Madison, Carrie, Bentley and Brennan.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care Pamlico, 1983 W 5th St, Washington, NC 27889.
